Calligraphy art class to cultivate creativity and widen imagination in a gentle, mindful way. Explore the dynamics of brush and ink on paper, and enjoy creating your own beautiful writings and drawings using traditional Japanese shodo tools and techniques.

This class offers 3 level of certification for Japanese shodo inspired calligraphy art.
Each level has specific course work.
Upon completion of each class/level, you will have a certification.

Level.1 Basic (red)
Master 10 basic Kanji, 25 Hiragana/Katakana and 13 English alphabets (first half of 26 char)

Level.2 Intermeditate 1 (blue)
Master 10 complex Kanji, 25 Hiragana/Katakana and 13 English alphabets (second half of 26 char)

Level.3 Intermeditate 2 (purple)
Practice semi-cursive and write poems in Japanese and English alphabets.

You have 3 ptions to:
1. take 3 classes consecutively from Feb - April to complete 3 levels.
2. take two classes during Feb - April to complete basic and Intermeditate 1 level.
3. take one class during Feb - April to complete basic level.

About instructor: CHIAKI
Based in Copenhagen via New York, Tokyo born visual artist and graphic designer, and creative director of ASOBO LAB. Offering Japanese inspired creative art classes since 2014. Practice shodo calligraphy since age 6 in Japan. Studied at School of Visual Arts (BFA), Aalborg University Copenhagen (MsC) in Denmark, Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan
